  2. Financial (Thanks, Hahn!): $1400 currently, but summer awards receipts are not in yet.
  3. Pack Show on Sept 20th! "PLAY BALL! " is the theme. (see June or July Program Helps for ideas!).

Opening-Den 2

Flags-Den 6

Setup-Den 3

Cleanup-Den 4

Remember to KISSSMIF your Den awards. . .the theme lends itself to soccer, baseball, basketball, etc. Roller ball is not an approved Cub Scout Sport.

  1. Roundup on 9/28: Dingeman. Bryon to get flyer approved after changing wording from "MU" room to "MP" room. Dave, Eric, John M., to help at Roundup, and all other leaders are welcome as well!
  2. Cans for Critters/Popcorn: Susan to announce at Pack Show. Popcorn order sheets given to leaders for this optional program. On-line order tracking for each boy may be problematic in this inaugural year. Checks for 34% of gross sold to hopefully get to sellers in December. Orders and money are due to Susan by Oct. 31.
  3. Fall Campout ( Oct. 7-9).: Mark Fisher organizing. Please have families ready to sign up/pay at the Sept. Pack show. $10 per person per night.

Mark: is there a pool that we will be using? If so, on the tour permit, then you can put Bryon down as the Safe swim Defense (expires 7/2007), CPR (8/2006), and first aid (8/2008). Multiple BALOO (including Bryon. . .took it in 11/02).

We will need to assign available responsible adults at each campfire for marshmallow roasting and other safety. It would be great to have a skit or song from each Den for the campfire.

There will be a potluck group dinner Sat. with the Pack purchasing hotdogs/hamburger/veggie burgers/buns/condiments/beverages, and continental style breakfast Sunday. Thanks again to Mark for organizing this!

We figure a few hundred dollars from the Pack will help subsidize the above meals.

  1. Cub Scout registering for returning Cubs is due to the Den Leaders by Oct. 31.

Please let Bryon know who has paid, and we will arrange how to get Hahn the checks. A discussion was held, and the amount will be $90 again for the 2006 year (this covers the period of 1/1/06-12/31/06). Bryon will do the charter paperwork/computer work this year.

If there is a financial hardship, please have them contact Cub master Bryon Solberg. A Cub can reregister if they miss the payment by having the parent filling out a registration form and getting it to Bryon in January, 2006. If they get the payment in by Oct. 31, then they will not have to fill out a form.

  1. Pinewood Derby! Applause for our returning Dual Derby Duchesses: Jen and Sharon!

The Rec. center is unavailable for renting, but these two are looking into many other options, including schools and Aviary at SR Swim and Racquet Club.

The dates of all related events (workshop, weigh-in) will hinge on this reservation. We are again hoping for a date of Feb. 26th for the Derby.

They are also investigating other possibilities for tracks and even a Troop that runs the Derby!

(Chris Lardie from Mission District).
